Biofertilization with PGP Bacteria Improve Strawberry Plant Performance under Sub-Optimum Phosphorus Fertilization

چکیده

Biofertilization with plant growth-promoting bacteria (PGPB) could optimize chemical fertilization for strawberry crop cultivation. A greenhouse study was arranged to assess the impact of an isolated PGPB consortium from halophytes on development, physiological traits, and nutritional balance subjected two phosphorus limitation treatments (with without insoluble form application). had a positive effect development. Thus, shoot root biomass c. 20 32% higher in inoculated plants grown phosphorus. This mediated by bacterial carbon absorption capacity water use efficiency, through reduction CO2 diffusional biochemical photosynthesis limitation. net photosynthetic rate intrinsic efficiency showed increments 21–56% 14–37%, respectively. In addition, inoculation led better photochemical apparatus, as indicated invariable PSII photochemistry parameters. Furthermore, these effects correlated improved nitrogen, which directly related beneficial metabolism and, consequently, strawberries’ growth. conclusion, we can recommend biofertilization based achieving more efficient P management practices, providing high yields.

Phosphorus solubilization and plant growth enhancement by arsenic-resistant bacteria.

Phosphorus is an essential nutrient, which is limited in most soils. The P solubilization and growth enhancement ability of seven arsenic-resistant bacteria (ARB), which were isolated from arsenic hyperaccumulator Pteris vittata, was investigated. Siderophore-producing ARB (PG4, 5, 6, 9, 10, 12 and 16) were effective in solubilizing P from inorganic minerals FePO4 and phosphate rock, and organi...

In the present study, a total of 186 bacterial strains isolated from various soil sources and plant species from Eastern Anatolia region in Turkey were evaluated for their ability to suppress gray mold (Botrytis cinerea Pers. ex Fr.) occurred on strawberry cv. Fern. Among 186 bacterial strains, 36 were found effective to inhibit of development B. cinerea under in vitro conditions, and thirteen ...

Cytokinins Induce Transcriptional Reprograming and Improve Arabidopsis Plant Performance under Drought and Salt Stress Conditions

In nature, annual plants respond to abiotic stresses by activating a specific genetic program leading to early flowering and accelerated senescence. Although, in nature, this phenomenon supports survival under unfavorable environmental conditions, it may have negative agro-economic impacts on crop productivity. Overcoming this genetic programing by cytokinins (CK) has recently been shown in tra...

Optimum Phosphorus Placement for Reduced Tillage Systems

Row-crop agriculture is under pressure to reduce sediment and nutrient losses to surface water resources by practicing less tillage and more precise application and placement of nutrients. Field studies started in 1997 were conducted through 2002 on very low to low P-testing (3 to 5 ppm Bray P1) and medium to high-P testing (11 to 19 ppm Bray P1) sites of a Nicollet-Webster clay loam complex at...
